In time for the holidays, Amazon and Hyundai launch online car sales platform

Vancouver, CANADA - Nov 19 2023 : A blog post “Amazon and Hyundai launch a broad, strategic partnership—including vehicle sales on Amazon.com in 2024” seen in iPhone.

Amazon and Hyundai Motor Co. have officially launched their collaboration to bring Hyundai vehicle sales online, enabling car buyers in 48 U.S. cities to browse, finance, and schedule the pickup of a new car directly on Amazon.

This follows a strategic partnership announced last year, in which Hyundai also designated Amazon Web Services (AWS) as its preferred cloud provider for digital transformation efforts.

Amazon is No. 1 in the Top 1000 Database. The database is Digital Commerce 360’s ranking of the largest online retailers in North America by annual web sales. Amazon is also No. 3 in Digital Commerce 360’s Global Online Marketplaces Database, which ranks the 100 largest global marketplaces by third-party gross merchandise value (GMV).

Through the newly introduced Amazon Autos platform, customers can:

“We’re partnering with dealers and brands to redesign car shopping — making it more transparent, convenient, and customer-friendly,” said Fan Jin, global head of Amazon Autos.

Currently, Amazon Autos focuses on new Hyundai vehicles but plans to expand in 2024 to include additional automotive brands, leasing options, broader financing tools, and increased city coverage. The platform aims to simplify the car-buying experience for consumers while offering dealerships a new avenue to reach customers.
